“Colin Kaepernick” Posted on fb 09-25-2017

The Christian message is that, with the foreknowledge of God, man fell and thus needs the Redeemer. By faith in Jesus— by His Spirit alone— can we keep the moral code of the Ten Commandments. This is the standard of the true Christian. It is the goal to strive to keep. This is where we stand on the spectrum of moral relativism. Standing for the Pledge of Allegiance or not standing for it Is nothing. Soldiers fought for our rights! And yes you have the right to boycott professional footbalI, but not to hate a man for his views. Don't get me wrong; I appreciate every sacrifice made for me, especially the ultimate sacrifice made by so many. But what is more important in the eyes of God is keeping the Commandments of God. What was the man' motive? Was it selfish or was it based on the Light that he had and an attempt to bring glory to his Maker? I honestly have not listened to the news of the last few days and don't really know the underlying currents of actions or motives. But I do know that there is no spirit of discernment in America. Colin Kaepernick, as well as those immolating him with their own motives, have the right to take a knee. It was purchased with the blood of soldiers, yea the blood of Jesus. Perhaps a more righteous question for the Christian to ask is whether football on it’s Sabbath is taking a rest and honoring God. I cannot control anyone's opinions, but by the Spirit alone— and that by His Word— can my mind be altered… and my feet re-directed, bringing glory to His name. Lord help me to respond rightly to happenings, regardless of the opinion of others… or its effects.
